We are ensuring best quality of food in quarantine centres: DC Karimganj
May 25: Social media is replete with multiple posts here many are accusing on the low quality of food supplied to those who are quarantined in various parts of Assam. However, all such claims are not always true where the district administration is aware and monitoring the food served through a proper mechanism. Such a proper monitoring of food served to those put under institutional quarantine was discerned in Karimganj.
Taking to the official Facebook Page, DC Karimganj wrote, “We would like to inform everyone that District Administration is not taking any chances and ensuring that the best quality of food is served and proper cleanliness is maintained for the people currently in the Quarantine facilities at different parts of the District.”
Some pictures of breakfast, tea, lunch and dinner were also shared by Karimganj district administration in the social media post. From the pictures shared, the food served seems to be palatable. As per the official declaration made by state Health Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Rs.500 per day, per head would be made available for persons who are put under institutional quarantine.
