Water level of Barak at Annapurna Ghat decreasing, flowing at 20.14 mt at 7 PM on Wednesday

June 29: Due to incessant rainfall since the last few days, the water level of river Barak crossed the danger level on 18 June. From 1 AM on Wednesday, the water level of Barak came down from 20.32 mt to 20.14 mt.

As per report received from Assam Water Resource Department, river Barak at Annapurna Ghat, Silchar at 7 PM on Wednesday, was flowing above the danger level and was recorded at 20.14 metres. The danger level at this point is 19.83 metre. The water level is decreasing at 2 cm per hour.

The highest flood level at this point was recorded at 21.763 on 11 September, 2007.
