Paint Fish Studios to organise PFS Sundowers, to promote music, art & local talents on 21 Feb
Feb. 10: Paint Fish Studios, Silchar is all set to organise PFS Sundowers, a live musical event on the 21st of February 2021. In an effort to promote music, art and local talents, Paint Fish Studios is all in for setting a new trend in the town. Sundays are usually spent relaxing and what else is better than being along with friends and family enjoying some great music from different artists while the sun goes down, making way for a great evening.
Arup Mazumder, a photographer, filmmaker and a visual artist from Silchar is very determined to set new trends in the town. He has already announced the ‘Paint Fish Art Cafe’ on his rooftop which has witnessed events like movie screening event paying tribute to departed soul of Kim-ki-duk along with musical performances. The team at Paint Fish Studios has been keenly following homegrown artists and is taking efforts to showcase their talents to the masses. Not only this, Arup’s confidence has also been boosted recently when received the Entrepreneur of the year award at the first ‘Barak Awards’ supported by the Indian Awaz Foundation held at Karimganj.
Talking about the event, the team shared that on the 21 February, the stage will be graced by several artists spread across variety of genres. While there will be Bollywood covers by our very own Sweta Sunar from Silchar, Delhi based Dr. Amrita Dutta Mazumder will be seen performing classical music. The Sundower will also see Folk/Baul performance along with Jazz-Fusion and instrumental from Silchar-based ensemble Muse Park. Moreover there will also be a small art installation on the rooftop where a couple of artists from Silchar will display to their Mandala art.
While a lot of events do pop up once in a while in and around the town, most of them fail to capture the minds of the audience in some or the other way. While the invitations for the event have already been circulated on the social media, it is absolutely free to enter and does not have any preference of audience or any specific age groups. It’s a one for all event and the team hopes the venue to be packed, just like the way it was during the 3rd year anniversary celebration gig.
