786 new cases detected in Assam on Monday, state tally reaches 12,522

July 6: Monday once again witnessed a huge spike in COVID-19 cases in Assam, with Guwahati leading the state tally. A total of 786 new novel coronavirus positive cases were reported from across the state on Monday, out of which, 598 cases were from Guwahati alone. The total number of COVID-19 cases in the state has reached 12,522. At present, there are 4623 active cases in Assam. Sharing this information, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet wrote, “Please follow #SocialDistancing, wear #mask & maintain hygiene.”
