‘Urban Care’ hands over food items to Bharat Sevashram for distribution among flood victims
June 3: “Urban Care”- a non-political social group of denizens of Silchar town handed over food items to Bharat Sevashram Silchar to support the on going flood relief work by Bharat Sevashram Sangha.
The food items consisted of 200 kg Rice, 210 kg Daal, 200 Kg Potatoes, 10 kg Soyabean nuggets, 50 lits Mustard oil, 10 kg Salt, and spices including turmeric powder, whole dry red chilli, panch furon. The items were handed over at the Pranabananda Vidya Mandir premises, Shib Bari Road, Tarapur, Silchar in presence of Swami Sadhananda Maharaj and Swami Mrinmoyananda Maharaj of Bharat Sevashram Sangha.
Members of Urban Care, those present included Prof (Dr) Rajat Gupta, Pronay Choudhuri, Asim Sen, Ratnajit Deb Roy, Asit Deb and Saheli Deb. The social help group profusely thanked Bharat Sevashram Sangha for accepting the food items and thereby giving them an opportunity to be a part of this flood relief work.
