২০১৮-কে ১৯৮৩ ভাবলে ভুল করা হবে, আলফাকে কমলাক্ষের সতর্ক বার্তা
ULFA should not regard 2018 as 1983, warns Kamalakhya

৩০ অক্টোবরঃ অসমে বাঙালিদের জীবনের মূল্য নেই। একদিকে এনআরসি, বিদেশি নোটিশের মাধ্যমে আত্মহত্যায় বাধ্য করা হচ্ছে। অন্যদিকে আলফা-র আলোচনাপন্থী গোষ্ঠীও ১৯৮৩ সালের দিন ফিরিয়ে আনা হবে বলে হুমকি দিচ্ছে।

মঙ্গলবার এই মন্তব্য করেছেন উত্তর করিমগঞ্জের কংগ্রেস বিধায়ক কমলাক্ষ দে পুরকায়স্থ। তবে তিনি আলফা নেতাদের সতর্ক করে দেন, ১৯৮৩ সালের পর বহুদিন পেরিয়ে গিয়েছে। এই দীর্ঘসময়ে বহু পরিবর্তন ঘটেছে।

কমলাক্ষবাবু সাফ জানিয়ে দেন, এখনও ১৯৮৩-র মতো বাঙালিদের মারবেন ভাবলে ভুল করা হবে।সময় বদলে গিয়েছে। তাই সুস্থ পরিবেশ বজায় রাখতে তিনি আলফা নেতাদের এই ধরনের মন্তব্য থেকে বিরত থাকতে পরামর্শ দেন।

October 30: The life of the Bengalis has got no value in Assam. Their very existence is threatened by NRC culminating in suicides due to foreigners’ notice, on one hand, and on the other the pro-talks faction of ULFA is threatening to bring back the days of 1983.

On Tuesday, this was commented by the MLA from North Karimganj, Kamalakhya Dey Purkayastha. He, however, warned the ULFA leaders that many years have elapsed after 1983. In this span, many changes have occurred. He categorically stated that, if they feel that they will be able to Physically abuse the Bengalis as they did in 1983, then they are staying in a fool’s paradise.

Time has changed and so he appealed to the ULFA leaders to maintain a congenial atmosphere and to abstain from making such provocative comments.
