I always love to watch and re-watch the films of B.R. Chopra. Nothing gives me more pleasure than watching old and classic Bollywood thrillers and horror movies. In the golden era of Bollywood cinema, amidst the glamour of romance and the intensity of drama, B.R. Chopra crafted a timeless suspense thriller that left an indelible mark on Indian cinema – Hamraaz (1967). With an ensemble cast led by the charismatic Sunil Dutt, Raaj Kumar, Mumtaz, Vimi, Sarika, Madan Puri, Jeevan, Iftekhar, Manmohan Krishna and the legendary Balraj Sahni, the film weaved a narrative tapestry of love, betrayal, and intricate plot twists. The plot unfolds with Sunil Dutt’s character, Kumar/S.N. Sinha, a stage actor, who finds himself entangled in a web of secrets and deceit. He falls in love with Meena (Vimmi) and gets married to her. However, things take a turn when one day she is found murdered, and he becomes the prime suspect.
