All Principals to strictly follow SoP & cooperate with dist admin in conduct of Gr III exam on 28 Aug: DHE
Aug. 23: Assam Direct Recruitment Commission has been entrusted the responsibility of conducting examinations for recruitment of Grade III & IV. The 1st phase of the exams were held on 21 August. The next phase will be held on 28 August, whereas the final phase will take place on 11 September.
It is in this context that the Director of Higher Education (DHE) Assam on 23 August, 2022 has written a letter to the Principals of all Government Colleges, Provincialised Colleges, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Adarsha Mahavidyalayas and Govt Model Colleges that they should strictly follow the Standard Operating Procedure (SoP) issued by the government in connection with conduct of the said examinations. DHE Assam also directed the concerned Principal’s where this examination will be held to cooperate with the district administration for smooth and orderly conduct of the exams.
In his letter, DHE Assam wrote, “I would like to inform you that the examination for recruitment of Grade III and Driver will be held on 28th August and 11th September, 2022 under the supervision of the Assam Direct Recruitment Commission. In this regard, all concerned Principals of the respective examination centres are hereby requested to strictly follow the SOP issued by the Govt. and also to co-operate with the district administration for smooth and orderly conduct of the said examination. The matter may be treated as Most Urgent.”
It needs mention here that the District Administration Cachar during the 1st day of the examination (21 August) detained and later arrested Dr Siddhartha Shankar Nath, Principal of Cachar College, Silchar on charges of negligence and misbehaviour. He was later on released on bail at late night on Sunday and was also asked to appear again on 25 August. The letter by DHE issued on 23 August to all Principals assumes great significance in the backdrop of such unfortunate incidents.
