Big victory! Silchar’s Dibija Paul won ‘All Assam Ranking TT Championship’ in Jorhat under-11 Girls category

way2barak, Oct.22: It’s indeed another feather in the cap of the legacy of sports in Silchar. After Akshita Roy, now Silchar Paddler Dibija Paul won the Table Tennis State Championship held in Jorhat under-11 Girls Category.

Dibija Paul of Silchar won the Championship in the 15th Hiren Baruah Memorial All Assam Ranking Table Tennis Championship (Under-11 Girls Category) held at Kushal Konwar Memorial Indoor Stadium, Jorhat. Dibija Paul is a paddler from the renowned Table Tennis Club, Udharbond.

Dibija put up a magnificent display of her talent in the entire championship and defeated the present state champion Aayat Rahman of Guwahati in the under-11 category by 11-08, 08-11, 11-05, 09-11 & 11-05. Dibija was the Runner up in the last State Ranking and made her debut championship in Jorhat. Her victory indeed is a landmark in the history of Table Tennis in Barak Valley.
