UK PM Starmer calls for de-escalation in Iran

way2barak March 9: Amid the deepening crisis in Iran, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, advocated for de-escalation. He said that the world needs to find ways to de-escalate the ongoing conflict.

French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday said that the Group of Seven Nations could use their emergency oil stocks to combat the latest surge in oil pricing.

While speaking to the press, Macron said, “The use of strategic reserves is an envisaged option.” He further added that the G7 nations could meet this week and form a response to rising prices.

Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Mojtaba Khamenei, the new Supreme Leader of Iran.

 

Extending his support, Putin said, “I am confident that you will continue your father’s work with honour and unite the Iranian people in the face of severe challenges. For my part, I would like to confirm our unwavering support for Tehran and solidarity with our Iranian friends.”
