Two panels led by Joyati Bhattacharjee & Devashish Sengupta to face AUTA election on 12 May
May 10: The Annual General Body Meeting of Assam University Teachers’ Association (AUTA) is going to be held on 12 May, 2022. On this day, the new office bearers of AUTA will also be elected. It is after a long time that two panels of candidates will be facing each other during this election, which will take place in the Bipin Chandra Pal Auditorium of the University. The contesting panels of candidates are led by Prof Joyati Bhattacharjee, Professor, Department of Political Science and Dr Devashish Sengupta, Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry.
The various posts for which the panel led by Prof Joyati Bhattacharjee will be contesting in the AUTA Elections for the year 2022-23 are:
- President: Prof Joyati Bhattacharjee
- Vice President: Dr Mritunjay K Singh
- General Secretary: Dr Sib Sankar Majumder
- Joint Secretary: Amit Kr Das
- Joint Secretary: Dr Ponkhi Borah
- Treasurer: Swarnadip Biswas
