Twitter suspends ISKCON Bangladesh accounts for posting ongoing violence against Hindus
ISKCON seeks explanation from Twitter
Oct. 21: In a strange development, micro-blogging site twitter has suspended two accounts of International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), Bangladesh after its temple was attacked in Noakhali by a mob amid attacks on other Hindu temples. These pages were posting content related to the ongoing violence on the Hindu community in Bangladesh that had started in the previous week.
Radharaman Das, ISKCON in-charge and spokesperson stated, “Radharaman Das, ISKCON in-charge and spokesperson.” Taking to the microblogging website, ISKCON has demanded Twitter to issue a clarification on why the accounts of ISKCON Bangladesh and the Bangladesh Hindu Unity Council are unavailable.

In protest of this, the day of October 30 is going to be observed on an international level across different ISKCON Temples. In around 700 temples covering 150 countries, a protest is going to be held where various people can participate and pay for the souls of those who died in the violence.
Twitter needs to explain why have they shut down @IskconBDH and @unitycouncilBD amidst the brutal attacks. Is this pressure from #Bangladesh government or @Twitter?
Why are Hindu voices are being silenced in the midst of an emergency. @Iyervval

ISKCON’s Communications Director, Yudhistir Govinda Das in another tweet questioned whether the accounts were removed due to pressure from the Bangladesh government. He also alleged that Hindu voices are being gagged amid an emergency. He claimed that if people across the world do not know what is happening in Bangladesh, then violence will continue.
Earlier, condemning brutal attack by a mob on ISKCON devotees in Bangladesh’s Noakhali and killing of an ashram devotee, ISKCON Vice-President Radharaman Das wrote to the United Nations on Saturday requesting the United Nations to issue condemnation of “violence against the Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh” and send their delegates to Bangladesh to look into the matter. He also wrote a letter to PM Narendra Modi seeking his intervention into the matter.
