Trains to & from Silchar cancelled for a month due to construction of Rail over bridge at Srikona is a RUMOUR

July 2: The work of constructing a railway over bridge at Srikona has been started and for this no trains will run from and to Silchar. This is nothing but a rumour which has been spread in some social media circles. Train services will not be affected in any way due to the construction of the railway over bridge. This was confirmed by sources in the NF Railway. Passengers were asked not to pay heed to any sort of rumours.

Meanwhile, due to repairing of tracks, trains between Silchar and Lumding will not run or routes changed between 7 July, 2019 (8 AM) to 9 July, 2019 (10 AM). Apart from these dates train services to and from Silchar will be available as per schedule.
