Training of polling personnel to begin in Cachar from 8 March
March 7: The Cachar district administration and District Election officials have organized training of polling staff for the seven constituencies (Silchar, Sonai, Dholai, Udharband, Lakhipur, Borkhola & Katigorah) in the district to ensure a smooth and hassle free voting process during the upcoming assembly elections. The training on EVM and VVPAT will run from 8 to 11 March, 2021.
The four days training sessions will be organised in two phases from 10 AM to 1 PM and from 2 PM to 5 PM. The training will be held in three locations- Narshing Higher Secondary School, Silchar Government Girl’s Higher Secondary School and Government Boys Higher Secondary School. The Additional Deputy Commissioner Cachar cum officer-in-charge of the Training and Awareness cell, said in a notification on Saturday that Master Trainers and polling personnel should remain present in their respective venues as mentioned as intimated to them as per the schedule.
The polling personnel will have to leave for Dholai, Lakhipur, Katigorah constituencies on March 30 and the polling stations for Silchar, Sonai, Udharbandh and Borkhola constituencies will have to leave on March 31.
