Towards a peaceful Assam: 39.4% dip in crimes and fast disposal rate: CM
April 8: “Our zero tolerance policy towards crime is bearing fruits. New benchmarks have been set in our journey towards establishing permanent peace in the state. Sharp dip in crimes and fast disposal rate – kudos to Assam Police – have created a sense of security among the people,” tweeted Assam chief minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday.
The Chief Minister further stated that there has been a steep decline in crime rate and rise in disposal rate. Statistically, there has been 39.4 percent dip in crime rate in January- March quarter of 2022 compared to 2021.
