Hailakandi Congress observes ‘Angikar Divash’ on 50th birthday of Rahul Gandhi

June 19: Congress Party celebrated the 50th birthday of their former President of AICC by observing ‘Angikar Divash.’ In a press release issued by Hailakandi District Congress Committee, it was stated that though Rahul Gandhi himself refrained from celebrating his birthday this year due to the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic and also because of the martyrdom attained by the Indian soldiers during a face off with the Chinese, but the Congress Party took this opportunity to celebrate the day as ‘Angikar Divash.’

All the Mandol Congress Committee has observed the day in Hailakandi district and the concluding programme was organised at Katlicherra Block Congress Office where DCC President Joynal Uddin presided over the meeting in presence of Lala BCC President Nurul Huda Choudhury, Manna Khan General Secretary of DCC, Santu Ree and special invitee Sanjeev Roy, Secretary of Assam Pradesh Congress Committee and other dignitaries. Sanjeev Roy took the initiative to distribute masks among the common people at Katlicherra Bazar. Hailakandi DCC President had conveyed his thanks for the grand success of the programmes, throughout the district on Friday.
