২৮ নভেম্বর : ঐতিহাসিক অযোধ্যা মামলার রায় ঘোষণার পর এখন এই ‘পবিত্র’ নগরের বিভিন্ন গোশালায় থাকা গরুগুলোকে কোট পরানোর সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে অযোধ্যা পুরনিগম। এই কোটগুলো পাট দিয়ে তৈরি করা হবে বলে অযোধ্যা নগর নিগমের অধ্যক্ষ নীরজ শুক্লা জানিয়েছেন।

এ ব্যাপারে তিনি জানান, ‘আমরা গরুর জন্য কোট তৈরি করার কাজ শুরু করেছি। ৩-৪টি পর্যায়ে এই প্রকল্প কার্যকর করা হবে। প্রথমে আমরা বৈশিংপুর গোশালা থেকে এই কাজ শুরু করব। এই গোশালায় ১২০০ গরু রয়েছে। এর মধ্যে ৭০০টি বলদ এবং বাকিগুলো গরু ও তার বাছুর।’ প্রাথমিকভাবে গরুর বাছুরের জন্য একশ’টি কোটের অর্ডার দেওয়া হয়েছে বলে উল্লেখ করেন শুক্লা। তিনি আশা প্রকাশ করেন, খুব শীঘ্রই প্রথম ডেলিভারি এসে যাবে।

তিনি আরও বলেন, এই কোটের দাম আড়াইশো টাকা থেকে তিনশ’ টাকা পর্যন্ত হবে। গরুর বাছুরের জন্য তিনটি স্তরে কোট বানানো হয়েছে। কোটের ভেতরের দিকে পাটের উপর কোমল কাপড় দেওয়া হবে, যাতে বাছুর উম পায়। অন্যদিকে বলদ ও গরুর ক্ষেত্রে কোটের ডিজাইন আলাদা রকমের হবে। বলদের জন্য যে কোট হবে সেটি তৈরি হবে পাট দিয়ে। বিপরীতে গরুর জন্য প্রস্তুত কোট দুটি স্তরে থাকবে। পুরপতি ঋষিকেশ উপাধ্যায় বলেছেন, ‘গরুর সেবা করার জন্য আমরা মনোনিবেশ করেছি। আমি অন্য গোশালাগুলোকে উন্নত করার প্রক্রিয়া হাতে নিয়েছি। যাতে এগুলো দেশের মধ্যে শ্রেষ্ঠ গোশালা হয়ে ওঠে।’

November 28: With the onset of winter, the Ayodhya Municipal Corporation has decided to buy jute coat for cows living in various shelters in the holy city.

Niraj Shukla, Nagar Nigam Commissioner of Ayodhya, said, “We are in the process of getting the cow coats made. This scheme will be implemented in three-four phases. First, we are starting with Baishingpur cow shelter, which houses around 1,200 cattle including 700 bulls and the rest being cows and calves. We have initially placed order for 100 cow coats for the calves”. Shukla further said that the first set of coats will arrive in November end and each costs around Rs. 250-300.

Coming to the outfits, all wont be seen in the same style; the cows and bulls will have separate designs. The bulls will have coats made only of jute, while cows coats will have two layers. Further, the commissioner claimed that cow shelters will also have a bonfire to save the cows from extreme cold. Paddy straw will be put on the floor to provide warmth to the cattle if they choose to sit.

Our focus is on the service of cows. We are also developing other cow shelters and making them the best in the state, said Mayor Rishikesh Upadhyay.
