148 Covid deaths in Assam in last 3 days including 47 on Friday

May 6: With a tragic turn of events, more and more people are losing their lives in Assam due to Covid-19. In the last three days, 142 persons in the state have lost their lives due to the deadly coronavirus. On 5 May, 55 people succumbed to Covid-19, 06 May recorded 46 more deaths and on 7 May, 47 persons lost their lives in the virus attack.

Out of the 47 deceased on Friday, 15 are from Kamrup Metro; 8 from Dibrugarh; 3 each from Cachar & Golaghat; 2 each from Nalabari, Sibsagar, Sonitpur & Udalguri; 1 each from Baksha, Biswanath, Bongaigaon, Hojai, Jorhat, Kamrup Rural and Karimganj. The death tally of the state now stands at 1,578.

Apart from the 1,531 Covid deaths, another 1,347 Covid positive patients also died in Assam, but due to comorbidities.
