Three-day workshop on ‘Broadcast Production’ begins at the university
ব্ৰডকাস্ট প্ৰোডাকশন’ নিয়ে তিনদিনের কৰ্মশালা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে

ওয়ে টু বরাক, ২৪ জুলাই : জাতীয় সম্প্ৰচার দিবস উদযাপনের অঙ্গ হিসেবে আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের গণজ্ঞাপন বিভাগের উদ্যোগে বুধবার থেকে শুরু হয়েছে ‘ব্ৰডকাস্ট প্ৰোডাকশন’ নিয়ে তিনদিনের কৰ্মশালা৷ এতে রিসোর্স পাৰ্সন হিসেবে অংশ নিচ্ছেন প্ৰসার ভারতীর অবসরপ্ৰাপ্ত কৰ্মকৰ্তা তথা বিশিষ্ট লেখক প্ৰতুল যোশি। কর্মশালার সূচনা হয় বিভাগীয় প্ৰধান ড. চাৰ্বাকের স্বাগত বক্তব্যের মাধ্যমে।

উদ্বোধনী পৰ্বে অন্যদের মধ্যে উপস্থিত ছিলেন মিডিয়া সেলের চেয়ারম্যান তথা বিভাগীয় সহযোগী অধ্যাপক ড. এস এম আলফারিদ হুসেইন, ড. পারমিতা দাস, ড. আয়েশা টি. রশিদ প্ৰমুখ৷ অনুষ্ঠানে প্ৰসার ভারতীর প্ৰাক্তন কৰ্মকৰ্তা যোশি আকাশবাণীর সম্প্ৰচারের বিবৰ্তন সম্পৰ্কে তাঁর জ্ঞান, ব্যক্তিগত উপাখ্যান ও পেশাদার অভিজ্ঞতা ভাগ করে শিক্ষাৰ্থীদের মুগ্ধ করেন। তিনি অ্যানালগ থেকে ডিজিটাল সম্প্ৰচারের রূপান্তরমূলক পরিবৰ্তনগুলি তুলে ধরেন এবং নতুন মিডিয়ার যুগে আকাশবাণীর প্ৰাসঙ্গিকতা নিয়ে আলোচনা করেন৷ পাশাপাশি তিনি আকৰ্ষণীয় সম্প্ৰচারের পেছনে সৃজনশীল প্ৰক্রিয়ারও আভাস দেন।

কৰ্মশালায় বিদ্যায়তনিক অধিবেশনের পাশাপাশি প্ৰাণবন্ত প্রশ্নোত্তর পৰ্বও ছিল৷ এতে প্ৰশিক্ষাৰ্থীরা সম্প্ৰচারে ক্যারিয়ারের সুযোগ থেকে শুরু করে আধুনিক মিডিয়া প্ৰোডাকশনের চ্যালেঞ্জ নিয়ে যোশির সঙ্গে আলোচনা করেন৷ দ্বিতীয় ভাগে তিনি লেখার ধরন নিয়ে আলোচনা করেন। এতে তিনি লেখার স্পষ্টতা, সংক্ষিপ্ত আকার ও সৃজনশীলতার ওপর জোর দেন।

প্ৰসঙ্গত, ভারতীয় সম্প্ৰচার (প্ৰোগ্ৰাম) সাৰ্ভিস-এর অবসরপ্ৰাপ্ত কৰ্মকৰ্তা প্ৰতুল যোশি লখনউ, আলমোড়া, ইটানগর, শিলং সহ একাধিক আকাশবাণী কেন্দ্ৰে কাজ করেছেন। তিনি ভারতীয় পাবলিক সম্প্ৰচারের ওপর বৈশ্বিক দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি নিয়ে আয়োজিত আন্তৰ্জাতিক সম্প্ৰচার অনুষ্ঠানেও ভারতের প্ৰতিনিধিত্ব করেছেন৷ তিনি একজন দক্ষ লেখক, নাট্যকার এবং সাংস্কৃতিক কৰ্মীও।

কৰ্মশালা চলবে শুক্রবার পৰ্যন্ত। এতে প্ৰশিক্ষাৰ্থীদের উন্নত ‘ব্ৰডকাস্ট প্ৰোডাকশন’-এর কৌশল সম্পৰ্কে হাতে-কলমে প্ৰশিক্ষণ দেওয়া হবে৷ সেইসঙ্গে বিশেষজ্ঞদের উপস্থিতিতে আলোচনাও আয়োজিত হবে।

way2barak, July 24 : On the occasion of National Communication Day, a three-day workshop on ‘Broadcast Production’ has started from Wednesday at the initiative of the Department of Mass Communication of Assam University. Pratul Joshi, a retired officer of Prasar Bharati and eminent writer, is participating in it as a resource person. The workshop began with a warm welcome by the Head of the Department, Dr. Charvak. Apart from delivering the welcome speech, he introduced Joshi, the resource person of the workshop, to the trainees and faculty members.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Media Cell and Associate Professor of the Department, Dr. SM Alfarid Hussain, Dr. Parmita Das, Dr. Ayesha T. Rashid, among others. Joshi, a former officer of Prasar Bharati, enthralled the students by sharing his knowledge, personal anecdotes and professional experience on the history of broadcasting in All India Radio. He highlighted the transformational changes from analogue to digital broadcasting and discussed the relevance of All India Radio in the new media era. He also gave a glimpse into the creative process behind engaging broadcasting.

The first day of the workshop also included a lively Q&A session. In this, the students discussed with Joshi on topics ranging from career opportunities in broadcasting to the challenges of modern media production. In the second part, he discussed writing style. In this, he emphasized on clarity, conciseness and creativity in writing.

It may be noted that, Pratul Joshi, a retired officer of the Indian Broadcasting (Programme) Service, has worked in several broadcasting centers including Lucknow, Almora, Itanagar, Shillong. He has also represented India at international broadcasting events organized with a global perspective on Indian Public Broadcasting. He is also an accomplished writer, dramatist and cultural activist

The workshop will continue till next Friday. The trainees will be given hands-on training in advanced ‘broadcast production’ techniques. Along with this, discussions will also be organized in the presence of experts.
