TET teachers to get increased grade pay, DA & HRA, assures Mission Director
October 31: The All Assam Primary TET-Qualified Teachers’ Association has been relentlessly agitating in support of a number of issues, which were still not fulfilled by the state government. Their prime demands included increase in their grade pay, release of increased Dearness Allowance (DA), maternal leave, and House Rent Allowances including others.
On Friday, a delegation of the All Assam Primary TET-Qualified Teachers’ Association met Shamsher Singh, Mission Director of Assam Sarba Siksha Abhiyan Mission in Guwahati and urged upon him to fulfill their long standing demands.
Later on, speaking with the media, the office bearers of the Association said that it was a fruitful interaction and the Mission Director gave positive assurance regarding the fulfillment of their demands. They also informed that the Mission Director has assured to increase grade pay from Rs 6500 to Rs 7400. Mr. Singh also showed a positive approach towards their other demands. A one-time aid of Rs 10 lakh for the families of the deceased teachers was also on the cards.
