Teachers & staff of Elementary & Secondary schools in Assam to get special leave on 12 & 13 Jan instead of 6 & 7 Jan

Jan. 5: Assam Government has adjusted the special leave granted to the teachers and staff of elementary & secondary schools of the state. The leave was originally given to spend quality time by the employees with their parents or in-laws.

Special leave for Teaching and Non-Teaching staff of Elementary and Secondary schools in Assam will now be able to enjoy special leave on 12 and 13 January instead of 6 and 7 January as notified earlier. An order in this connection was issued by special commissioner, Preetom Saikia, Education Department on 5 January, 2022.

Issuing an order to this effect, the Elementary Education Department, Government of Assam on Wednesday stated, “The Government in Elementary and Secondary Education Department is hereby pleased to adjust the Special leave for Teachers and Non-Teaching staff of Elementary and Secondary schools in the State of Assam on 12th and 13th January, 2022 in place of 6th and 7th January, 2022, as notified vide No.GAG(B). 152/2021/30 dated 7th December, 2021. The schools will also remain closed on 12th and 13th January, 2022 followed by the Bihu Holidays. This order comes into immediate effect.”
