Tea entrepreneur’s & planters bade Farewell to Keshav Shyam Chandra Sharda
March 1: Tea Entrepreneur’s & Planters of Barak Valley bade farewell to Keshav Shyam Chandra Sharda, one of the most renowned Planter & Consultant of the Tea Industry as he hangs his boots. He was actively associated with Tea industry since 1959. He was in association with with Kumai T.E., Spring Side T.E. in Darjeeling, Aenakhall T.E., Arcuttipore T.E., Derby T.E. in Cachar & Dhuseri T.E. as Planter & with Methoni T.E., Madhuting T.E., Kalinagar T.E., Gombira T.E., Ranibari T.E., Maheshpur T.E., Mekhlipara T.E., Kallinecherra T.E. and few other gardens of Octavius Steel Group as Consultant. He also served few years as Chairman TAI – BVB Silchar during his tenure in Cachar.
A disciplinarian & a gentleman, Keshav Shyam Chandra Sharda was loved and respected by the Planter Community. Planters present recalled their association with him and highlighted his achievements and his personality. His farewell was organised by Kalinagar Tea Estate which was attended by senior Planters namely, J.K.Ghosh, I.B.Ubhadia, Alok Mahavbir, R.K.Pandey, Budhadeb Choudhary and local entrepreneurs namely, Ratan Lal Sirhoia, Mahavir Prasad Jain, Ashit Dutta, B.R.Tusinal, P.K.Rathi & few others.
Finally, the Directors of Kalinagar T.E. Sunil Mohta & Sri Raghav Sarda thanked all those who attended the farewell get-together and wished Sri Sharda, a long, happy and healthy future.
