Swayamsevaks of RSS help in cremation of the dead at Silchar crematorium wearing PPE kit

August 18: With the passage of time, the number of deaths related to COVID-19 are on the rise in Barak Valley. However, due to fear, people try to keep themselves away from the Corona deceased. Moreover, the COVID-19 protocol also stands as bar in accompanying the dead body to the crematorium.

A 67-year-old man, Nabendu Bhattacharjee from Bihara died after being infected with coronavirus. None were willing to accompany his nephew (only relative present) to Silchar Shashan Ghat (crematorium). Finally, the Swayamsevaks of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) of Silchar being informed rushed to Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) to extend help to the nephew of the deceased. They they also came down to Silchar crematorium at 11 PM and extended a helping hand in cremation of the dead body. Roopjyoti Deb & Swapan Choudhury of RSS accompanied the nephew of the deceased wearing PPE kit along with the members of Rising Youth Silchar. Three other Swayamsevaks, Joydeep Dutta, Jayanto Dutta and A.C.Dev were also present there extending supplementary help.
