Out of 32,408 tests done on Thursday, 1188 found +ve in Assam; 9 deaths registered

Oct. 8: On Thursday, 1188 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now reached 1,91,397, out of which, 32,965 are active cases. During the day, 32,408 tests were done in Assam. In a tweet, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 1188 #COVID cases detected out of 32408 tests today. Positivity Rate – 3.67% Kamrup (M) – 232; Jorhat – 111.”

Moreover, during the day, another 09 persons in the state died due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death tally of Assam to 794.
