Suprabir Dutta Roy reappointed as Controller of Examinations of Assam University
বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের পরীক্ষা নিয়ন্ত্রক পদে ফের সুপ্রবীর দত্তরায়

১৬ সেপ্টেম্বর: আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের পরীক্ষা নিয়ন্ত্রক পদে ফের ড. সুপ্রবীর দত্তরায়কে নিযুক্তি প্রদান করা হয়েছে৷ বুধবার বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের এগজিকিউটিভ কাউন্সিলের বৈঠকে তাঁর নিযুক্তিতে অনুমোদন জানানো হয়৷ আগের বারের নিযুক্তির পাঁচ বছরের মেয়াদ ফুরোলে তিনি চেয়ার ছেড়ে চলে যান৷ ডেপুটি কন্ট্রোলার এল ব্রজেন সিংহ ভারপ্রাপ্ত ছিলেন৷ তখনও বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় তাঁকে ছাড়েনি৷ পরামর্শদাতা পদে থেকে পরীক্ষা সংক্রান্ত যাবতীয় সিদ্ধান্ত তিনিই নিয়েছেন৷

এ দিকে, এই শূন্য পদে বিজ্ঞাপন প্রকাশিত হলে সুপ্রবীরবাবু ফের আবেদন করেন, ইন্টারভ্যু দেন৷ বুধবার এরই ফল প্রকাশিত হল, সঙ্গে নিযুক্তিও চূড়ান্ত হয়৷ এরই মধ্যে তিনি লালা রুরাল কলেজের অধ্যক্ষ পদেও আবেদন করে নিযুক্তি পেয়েছিলেন৷ তবে পরীক্ষা নিয়ন্ত্রক পদ ফের পাকা হওয়ায় তিনি আর লালামুখো হবেন না৷

Sept. 16: Putting an end to all speculations, Dr. Suprabir Dutta Roy was reappointed as the Controller of Examinations (COE) of Assam University, Silchar. On Wednesday, the Executive Council of the varsity gave its approval to the appointment of the new Controller of Examinations.

It needs mention here that after the expiry of his term as the COE of Assam University, Dr. Suprabir Dutta Roy was once again employed as the Advisor to the Vice Chancellor on Exam Matters. This was a clear indication of the wish of the Vice Chancellor to offer another term to Dr. Dutta Roy. In the interim period, Deputy Controller, L. Brojen Singh was entrusted with the onus of COE in-charge.

Meanwhile, Dr. Surabir Dutta Roy, after the expiry of his term as the COE also applied for the post of Principal of Lala Rural College at Lala in Hailakandi district. He was appointed to the post of Principal by Director of Higher Education, Assam in an order issued on 3 September, 2020. As of now, he will in all probability forgo the post of the Principal, where he was appointed.
