2 ডিসেম্বর: অফিসে ঢুকে সাপ্লাই ইন্সপেক্টরকে লক্ষ্য করে গুলি চালাল দুষ্কৃতী। ঘটনা অসমের হাফলঙ শহরে। গুলিবিদ্ধ ফুড ইন্সপেক্টর রূপম ডিব্রাগেডের অবস্থা আশঙ্কাজনক। দ্রুত তাকে হাফলঙ সিভিল হাসপাতালে পাঠানো হয়। ডাক্তাররা জানিয়েছেন, দুটি গুলি লেগেছে তার বুকে। একটি বেরিয়ে গিয়েছে। অন্যটি ভেতরে রয়ে গিয়েছে। অস্ত্রোপচার করে তা বের করতে হবে। ডিমা হাসাও জেলার পুলিশ সুপার প্রশান্ত শইকিয়া জানান, বিকেল সাড়ে তিনটায় আচমকা খাদ্য ও গণবন্টন অফিসে ঢুকেই পিস্তল থেকে দুই রাউন্ড গুলি চালায় এক যুবক। পরে পা ফেলে দ্রুত পালিয়ে যায়। তাঁর অনুমান, এটি জঙ্গি সংগঠনের কাজ নয়। গণবন্টন সংক্রান্ত বিবাদের জেরে এই ঘটনা ঘটতে পারে। শীঘ্র দুষ্কৃতীকে ধরা সম্ভব হবে বলে তিনি আশাবাদী।

December 2: Miscreants entered the office and shot at the Supply Inspector. The incident occured at Haflong town in Assam. Food Inspector Rupam Dibragadh is learnt to be in a critical condition. He was immediately rushed to Haflong Civil Hospital. Doctors informed that two bullets hit him in his chest. One bullet has come out of his body while the other one is still inside. The doctors will have to operate him in order to bring that bullet out. Prashanta Saikia, Police Super of Dima Hasao informed that, at around 3.30 in the evening, a man entered in the chamber of the Inspector of Food & Civil Supplies and suddenly fired two rounds of bullet. After that, he fled away from the place.As per the initial assumption of the Police Super, the incident is not the work of any militant organisation. The incident is most likely to have taken palce regarding any dispute on matters of mass supply. He, however, asserted that the miscreant will be arrested soon.
