Suklabaidya inaugurates model Anganwadi Centre in Cleverhouse

way2barak, Jan.30: Minister for Transport, Excise & Fisheries, Parimal Suklabaidya inaugurated a newly constructed building of 28 No.Notun Bazar Gandhi LP School Model Anganwadi of Cleverhouse GP under Dholai constituency on Saturday.
Speaking at the event, the Minister said that every anganwadi centre plays an important role in the physical and mental development of children in rural areas. Every anganwadi centre in the village is working to show the light of knowledge along with character building during childhood.
The Minister asked every teacher including female orphans of the centre to pay special attention to the anganwadi centre and also to focus on promoting and spreading the standard of education properly. He highlighted various development projects under Dholai constituency.
Minister Suklabaidya said that both Central and State Government are working to make the country a prosperous one in the whole world. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Assam is being considered one of the best states in the country.
The Minister said that education is the key to the development of children. In the current year Rs 2 crore 75 lakh have been allocated for the construction of 11 model Anganwadi Centres under Dholai constituency.
Speaking on the occasion, Zilla Parishad Member Shashanka Chandra Paul said that it was not possible to understand what Anganwadi Centre meant during the previous Congress regime. Although there was an anganwadi centre, it was used as a rented house to teach rural children. During the previous government, all the projects of the anganwadi centres were looted. But Chief Minister of Assam Dr.Himanta Biswa Sarma’s foresight and the unrelenting efforts of State Minister Parimal Suklabaidya have led to the acceleration of rural education. He said 66 model Anganwadi Centres have been approved across Cachar and of these 11 were approved in the Dholai Legislative Assembly Constituency and more Anganwadi Centres will be opened in Dholai in the coming days.
Former Additional Deputy Commissioner BC Nath while speaking on the occasion highlighted the various developmental works of the present Central and State Governments. He also asked the school authorities to keep a constant eye on the upkeep of the newly constructed building and laid stress on proper education of the children.
Cachar Zilla Parishad Assistant Executive Engineer Siddharth Bhattacharya, CDPO Ashraful Islam Laskar also spoke at the event.
