Students of Cachar College launches protest for ‘charging excessive’ exam fees

March 29: After G.C. College, now the students of Cachar College, Silchar has also started protest demonstration for ‘charging excessive’ examination fees by the college. On Friday, the students of Cachar College raised a voice of protest and submitted a memorandum to the College Principal in this regard.

While speaking to way2barak, the students have alleged that Cachar College is charging an additional amount of Rs.250 from the students as examination fees. They expressed the view that the college is ignoring the dictates of Assam University and is charging exorbitant rate from the students as per their wish.

They also raised the question that if G.C. College and Radhamadhab College can charge less amount of fees, then what led Cachar College to do so. The students further said that, if their demand is not accepted then they will launch a vigorous agitation.
