Stand-alone Bakery shops to resume normal operation in Cachar
May 01: Amidst the ongoing lockdown, Cachar district administration has has decided to allow all licensed stand-alone bakery shops in the district to resume normal operations subject to certain conditions, in the interest of supplying bakery items to the general public. It was informed that only stand-alone bakery shops are allowed to start selling.
The notification further stated that customers and sellers are required to maintain a social distance of at least 1 meter. Proper hand wash facilities with sanitizers should be ensured and should be arranged for the customers at the entrances of the shop.The use of masks by buyers and employees is mandatory.There will be a general entry and exit (only one) for customers.The shopkeeper will make a circle / square using paint, marker etc. at a minimum distance of one meter.
Customers must stand in a circle / square and only one person will stand in a circle / square.The shopkeeper will try to recruit minimum number of workers on a daily basis. The shops will be remain open from 9 am to 5 pm. This order may be revoked at any time depending on the circumstances. Violation of the conditions is punishable under Section 51-60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and Section 188/270 of the Indian Penal Code.
