Solar panel inaugurated at Kachakanti temple in Udharbond

Dec. 5: Deputy Commissioner, Cachar Keerthi Jalli visited Kachakanti temple in Udharbond on Friday where she ceremonially inaugurated 32 plated solar panel under Assam Darshan Scheme in presence of MLA Udharbandh Mihir kanti Shome. It is pertinent to mention here that Kachakanti temple is the most ancient and heritage temple of Barak Valley.

No description available.This 32 plated solar panel has covered a nearby school, temple and other neighbouring areas. Under Assam Darshan Scheme Assam Government has sanctioned rupees 10 lakh for infrastructure development of this ancient temple. A room has also been constructed for maintenance purpose.

Earlier, Deputy Commissioner Cachar and MLA Udharbandh Mihir Kanti Shome illuminated the pond of Kachakanti temple by lighting up earthen lamps. Keerthi Jalli also performed “Arati” in the Kachakanti temple.
Later, at the Kachakanti Vidyamandir school, a meeting was organised by Kachakanti temple trust where all the dignitaries were felicitated.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Udharbandh Mihir Kanti Shome said that after installation of this solar panel the temple will no longer be dependent on electricity. The solar panel will supply the electricity within the temple and it’s nearby school. He said under the leadership of Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal, the present government is taking different measures for development. He also mentioned that special care should be taken for the maintenance of the batteries of the solar panel so that it does not get dried up, otherwise the whole system will be affected.

While addressing the gathering, Deputy Commissioner Cachar Keerthi Jalli said, ” This Assam Darshan program was conceived to increase people visiting our monuments and other holy institutions, generally we see there is a lot of scope for developments for whatever reason and for that reason Assam Darshan Scheme was introduced and in this regard a sum of rupees 10 lakh was sanctioned for development of infrastructure”. She appreciated Kachakanti temple trust for coming up with an innovative idea for installation of solar panel, mentioning such project is a perfect example of clean and self sufficient energy. She mentioned that in the entire state, it is one of its kind.

She appreciated the efforts taken by Kachakanti temple trust. Jalli expressed her sincere gratitude to MLA Udharbandh Mihir kanti Shome for his support and leadership. She also appreciated District Planning Officer Ruli Doulagapu for her efforts which she has put in to complete this project within the stipulated time frame. Deputy Commissioner also gave a motivational speech to the students of the school. While referring to famous quote of Swami Vivekananda, Keerthi Jalli said, “Take up one idea, make that one idea in your life, dream of it, think of it, live on that idea, let the brain, body, muscle, nerve every part of your body, be full of idea alone and just leave the other ideas, this is the way to success”. She said that the legacy of the temple is involved with the students and students should carry it forward. Jalli said, “You are in holy environment and you must develop spirituality”. The Director of Kachakanti Vidyamandir Harihar Chakraborty also spoke on the occasion.
