Soil of Kamakhya temple to be used in laying foundation of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya
July 28: The ‘bhoomi pujan’ ceremony (laying of foundation stone) of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh will take place on 5 August, 2020. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to lay the foundation stone of the Ram temple in Ayodhya on August 5 during the Bhumi Pujan ceremony at 12.15 pm at Ram Janmabhoomi. It needs mention here that the soil and holy water from many temples and water bodies from across India are being collected and sent to the temple site at Ayodhya by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) members to be incorporated in the foundation of the upcoming Ram Mandir.
In this connection, the North East Unit of VHP-Bajarang Dal on Monday collected holy water and soil from Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati and have sent it to Ayodhya to be used in the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony of Ram Mandir. Sharing the news on Twitter, the RSS Guwahati Gaushala Shakha said, “VHP-Bajarang dal North East unit collected holy water and soil (Pavitra Jal our mitti) from Maa Kamakhya temple and sent to Sri Ram Mandir’s Bhoomi Poojan Ceremony at Ayodhya.”
Around 200 VIPs including chief ministers of different states, union ministers and RSS head Mohan Bhagwat are likely to participate in the event. The Kamakhya Temple also known as Kamrup-Kamakhya temple, is a Sakta temple dedicated to the mother goddess Kamakhya. It is one of the oldest of the 51 Shakti Pithas.
