Snatching at Silchar-Kalain Road, arrested 3

way2barak, May 24: One incident incident of snatching took place on the Silchar Kalain road near Jolagram bridge at about 3.30 am today , while one Sakibul Islam Laskar along with 4 women and one driver were coming from Shillong towards Silchar, at that time their Scorpio vehicle was restrained by some miscreants on road and showing some weapon like dao etc. They had taken away one mobile phone, one gold bangle and cash Rs. @10,000/. Later on the victims arrived at the Bhangarpar OP for lodging complaint. Immediately police team intercepted one vehicle on the road and apprehended 3 (three) persons involved in the incident namely Kayum Uddin. Age 26 S/O Lt. Moklis Rahman of Bihara PT IV PS-Kalain ,Babul Husain, Age 30 S/O Lt. Moin Uddin of Bihara PT IV Soisapuri PS-Kalain and Amirul Haque age27
S/O Kutub Uddin. of Bihara PT IV PS-Kalain . Later on during the interrogation, the accuseds have admitted the commission of the crime. The vehicle bearing Regd.No. AS01DK2354 ,used in the incident has been seized. The accused persons are identified by the complaint. Efforts are being made for recovery of the items taken away by the culprits.
