SMB salutes its COVID-19 warriors- Sourav Roy & Pritom Nath

May 25: In the fight against the deadly coronavirus, many are in the battleground. Whenever, any person kept under institutional quarantine at hotels or schools, colleges etc. gets tested positive, then the task of sanitisation needs to be carried on in the premises. Silchar Municipal Board (SMB) in collaboration with Cachar District Administration is carrying on this task of sanitisation.

Assisting Officer to the SMB, Abhilash Baranwal, IAS himself also leads the sanitisation drive inside the hotels. However, Sourav Roy & Pritam Nath, both Junior Engineers of SMB are handling the sanitization of all the Quarantine Centers in and around Silchar. Even on weekends, they are working 10-12 hours to ensure that the city remains safe and protected.

In a social media post, Silchar Municipal Board (SMB) wrote, “We are fully committed to protecting the city from global pandemic. SMB salutes it’s Corona-warriors Sourav Roy & Pritam Nath.”
