Slip of tongue! BJP’s Jyotiraditya Scindia appeals ‘Vote for the hand, vote for Congress’
Nov. 1: It was indeed an embarrassing moment for BJP leader Jyotiraditya Scindia asked the people at a rally in Madhya Pradesh to “press the button with the symbol of the hand and vote for Congress.” However, realising his slip of tongue, Scindia was quick to rectify his words. Scindia was campaigning for BJP’s Imarti Devi in Dabra ahead of the by-polls to 28 Assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh on 3 November.

Scindia had resigned from the ruling Congress party in Madhya Pradesh in March 2020 and joined the BJP. The resignation of 22 of his fellow legislators led to the need for by-elections, which will be held in 28 constituencies of the state.
