Single cadre post to be created in all Govt and provincialised colleges in BTR: CM Assam

Dec. 19: A delegation of All Bodo Students’ Union & Bodo Sahitya Sabha met Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma in Guwahati on Sunday. Apart from focus on education sector, the deliberations were held especially on expeditious implementation of Clause 6.3 of the Bodo Accord, 2020. “We are committed to ensuring holistic development of BTR,” stated CM Dr Biswa Sarma.

CM Assam also stated that certain important decisions were taken during the deliberations with the delegation, which includes:

• Single Cadre post will be created in all Govt and provincialised colleges in Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).
• A  Campus of Bodoland University at Udalguri and Science & Law Colleges in BTR.
• Special TET for Bodo Medium.
• An advisory body of stakeholders to review implementation of the decisions.

The Chief Minister further offered ₹5 lakh to Smt Malobika Daimary, who was injured in an unfortunate firing incident at Boko. During the meeting, Cabinet Ministers Dr Ranoj Pegu, Ashok Singhal, CEM of BTR Pramod Boro, ABSU President Dipen Bodo, President of Bodo Sahitya Sabha- Taren Boro were present among others.
