Silchar Yuva Shakti Parishad Club pays homage to Galwan Valley Martyrs

June 18: Yuva Shakti Parishad Club of Silchar on Wednesday paid homage to the 20 martyrs who had lost their lives in the fierce clashes that took place against China on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday in Ladakh’s Galwan Valley. The members of Yuva Shakti Parishad gathered near the club office in Silchar and lighted candles and paid tribute to the real heroes who attained martyrdom.

President of Yuva Shakti Parishad, Amitesh Chakraborty said, “We salute the martyrs for their courage and for the ultimate sacrifice they made in defending our borders. We offer our deepest condolence to the bereaved families. We want to convey a message to the families of the martyr soldiers that the nation is with them and will never forget the ultimate sacrifices of those brave sons of the soil”.

Other Club members including General Secretary Guddu Nath, Pinak Das Secretary, Vice President Rupak Bhattacharjee, Shyamoli Choudhury, Sangita Deb Roy, Robi Malakar were also present during the occasion.
