Silchar to have 10 polling booths run by women

২৩ মার্চঃ শিলচর লোকসভা আসনের ১০টি ভোটকেন্দ্র এ বার মহিলা পরিচালিত হচ্ছে। সেগুলিতে প্রিসাইডিং অফিসার থেকে পুলিশ কনস্টেবল সবাই থাকবেন মহিলা। জানিয়েছেন কাছাড়ের জেলাশাসক লায়া মাদ্দুরি। সবকটিই অবশ্য শিলচর শহরে।

March 23: A total of 10 polling stations at Silchar constituency will witness female polling staff. Technically termed as ‘Pink’ Polling Booths, these centres will will have female Presiding Officer, female polling staff and even female security persons. This was informed by Laya Madduri, Deputy Commissioner, Cachar. All the 10 polling stations are in Silchar Municipal area.
