Silchar Congress visits landslide victims’ family, gave financial help on behalf of former MP

June 3: A delegation of Silchar District Congress Committee (DCC), led by its President Pradip Kumar Dey, met the surviving members of the family of those who lost their lives, in a landslide at Harinagar area of Rajabajar, Joypur of Cachar district on Tuesday.

The mother of the deceased along with her son, were assured by the delegation of all possible help, whenever required. A financial help to the tune of Rs 10,000 was handed over to them by the Congress delegation on behalf of former MP Silchar, Sushmita Dev. The other members of the delegation who went there were Rajesh Deb, Rahul Alam Laskar, Simanto Bhattacharjee (all General Secretaries of Silchar DCC ), Pradip Paul, President of Rajabajar Block Congress Committee, Silchar DYC, Vice President Shamsundar Kalwar, Muktar Mazumder and Mehbub Mazumder along with local congress party workers.
