Shop of 1 wholesaler at Fatak Bazaar shut by administration due to non issuing of cash memo to retailers

May 17: One wholesaler at Fatak Bazar has been closed by the Magistrates during inspection due to non issuing of cash memo to the retailers. The name of the erring merchant is Fajardo Sadiul Islam. The inspection was done by Executive Magistrate Kishan Chorei along with other officials.

Meanwhile, there are multiple reports where shopkeepers are charging higher price of essential commodities in various parts of Cachar district. In this connection, Deputy Commissioner Keerthi Jalli informed that people can contact this number 7002178162 for evidence based reports on any shopkeepers who are taking higher price for essential goods. Strict action will be taken against hoarding and stocking. Shops will be closed and entire stock will be seized if not complying.
