Shilpangan in collaboration with Ministry of Culture to organise online art workshop from 12 July
July 11: ‘Shilpangan’, a premier Institute of Fine Arts & Craft in collaboration with “North East Zone Cultural Centre, Dimapur” under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India is going to organise an Online Art Workshop from 12 to 23 July, 2021. The opening ceremony of this virtual art workshop will be formally inaugurated at 10.30 AM on 12 July.
‘Shilpangan’ has been relentlessly working for promotion of art and culture and instill among the people a refined taste of culture and thereby place Barak Valley in the aesthetic map of the country. Informing this, Sandipan Dutta Purkayastha, Principal of Shilpangan urged upon the art fraternity to be a part of this 12-day long workshop.
Dr. Rajdeep Roy, MP, Silchar will grace the occasion as the chief guest, and Prof. Dilip Chandra Nath, Vice Chancellor of Assam University, Silchar, Prof Niranjan Roy- Deptt of Economics, Assam University, Dr. Rajkumar Mazinder HoD, Department of Visual Arts, Assam University, Silchar, Dr. Nand Lal Thakur, Vice Chairman, Lalit Kala Akademi New Delhi, Gouri Basu Director I/C North East Zone Cultural Centre Dimapur, Suman Majumder, Executive council member & finance committee member Lalit Kala Academi, New Delhi NEZCC member Dimapur will be present in the virtual inaugural ceremony as Guests of Honour.
