Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra arrested for involved in making porn films

July 19: Businessman and husband of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra, was arrested on Monday by the Mumbai police in a case related to alleged creation of pornographic films and publishing them through some apps. The Mumbai Police said they arrested Mr Kundra today “as he appears to be the key conspirator of this”.

Mumbai Police Commissioner said in a statement, “There was a case registered with the Crime Branch Mumbai in Feb 2021 about creation of pornographic films and publishing them through some Apps. We’ve arrested Mr Raj Kundra in this case on 19/7/21 as he appears to be the key conspirator of this. We have sufficient evidences regarding this.”

As per a report by HT, the racket was busted on February 4, when an official of the property cell raided a bungalow in Madh area, Malad (West) and arrested five accused of their alleged involvement in luring young women and men on the pretext of offering roles into web series and short films. They allegedly forced them to act in a pornographic film instead.

Further reports suggested that Raj Kundra ran the porn videos racket with his accomplices through a WhatsApp group ‘H’. Raj himself was the admin of the group, which had 5 members.

Earlier in 2013, Raj Kundra was questioned by the Delhi Police in connection with the betting and spot-fixing scandal that engulfed Indian cricket.
