Friday registers death of another COVID patient in Assam

July 17: On Friday evening, a COVID-19 positive patient died in Guwahati. The patient was identified as Sunil Roy (11) from Kamrup Metro. He was admitted at Gauhati Medical College & Hospital (GMCH). Sharing this information, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “It is extremely saddening to share that Shri Sunil Roy (75) from Kamrup Metro admitted at GMCH succumbed to #COVID19 in the evening today. May his soul rest in peace. My condolences to his bereaved family & friends.” With this, the death tally of the state has gone upto 51.
