Sensitisation cum Awareness Program on HIV (P&C) Act

way2barak, 30 January : In a collaborative effort between the District Legal Services Authority, Hailakandi, and DISHA CLUSTER Cachar, a Sensitisation cum Awareness Programme on the HIV (Prevention and Control) Act, 2017 was successfully organized. The event took place at the Conference Hall of S.K Roy Civil Hospital and saw enthusiastic participation from hospital staff, NACP cadres, and officials.

The programme was inaugurated by Sanjay Hazarika, the District & Sessions Judge of Hailakandi. The event aimed at promoting awareness and understanding of the provisions of the HIV (P&C) Act, 2017. Serving as resource persons were Bidyabrata Acharyya, Secretary, D.L.S.A., Hailakandi, and Anup Kumar Dutta, CPM DISHA, who shared valuable insights and knowledge on the legal aspects and community involvement in HIV prevention.

The collaborative initiative proved to be a significant step towards community empowerment and legal awareness, emphasizing the importance of informed participation in the prevention and control of HIV/AIDS.
