SBI makes available mobile ATM services in containment zones of Cachar

June 1: After detection of COVID-19 patients, certain areas were earmarked by the district administration as containment zones. As per COVID-19 protocol, all sorts of activities baring essential services are prohibited in such containment zones. Entry or exit in such areas are also prohibited.

Upon receiving public grievance request for difficulties being faced in using of ATM in Containment Zone, Banking Correspondent from State Bank of India (SBI) was immediately sent by Cachar district administration to address financial needs. Mobile ATM facilities were made available to the people of containment zones in Cachar. The banking staff provided ATM services wearing PPE kits.

Further, active surveillance of Containment Zone is being done by the district health team to screen for active ILI/SARI cases to ensure no undetected case passes. The district health department requested the people to cooperate with the health staff deputed for monitoring them regularly.
