Saree, mask distributed in Ramkrishnanagar by RKNSWS & Lions Club

Oct. 22: Ramkrishnanagar Socio-Welfare Society (RKNSWS) Silchar, an organisation of the residents of Silchar who had their roots in Ramkrishnanagar donated saree among the poor women of Ramkrishnanagar on the eve of Durga Puja fesrval. At the Kalachup Akhra, the members of the society distributed saree among the poor mothers and sisters in collaboration with Lions Club of Ramkrishnanagar.

Lions members organised the programme systematically followed by free mask distribution. An awareness on covid awareness was also conducted. The founder member and Vice President of Ramkrishnanagar Socio Welfare Society Subrata Kar, Society’s Cultural Secretary cum Zone Chairperson of Lions Clubs International cabinet 322G Sabyasachi Rudra Gupta and Anil Roy, a local resident addressed the awareness session and appealed the people to maintain Covid protocols during Durga Puja.

The session was conducted by the Club Administrator of Lions Club of Ramkrishnanagar, Lion Bidyut Kar. The local people conveyed their thanks to both Ramkrishnanagar Socio-Welfare Society,Silchar and Lions Club of Ramkrishnanagar. The others present during the occasion were Lion Debaraj Dhar, Satyajit Dutta Choudhury, Lion Amalendu Paul, Lion Monoj Nath,Kanu Roy, Sontosh Roy and some others.
