Sarbananda requests Meghalaya CM for hassle-free transportation of essential commodities to Barak

April 18: The nationwide lockdown has gripped the entire nation. Amidst lockdown, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal spoke with Conrad Sangma, the Chief Minister of Meghalaya over phone and requested him to ensure transportation of the vehicles carrying essential commodities from Guwahati to Barak Valley through Meghalaya without any hassle.

Responding to the request of his Assam counterpart, Chief Minister Sangma assured Sonowal of taking adequate steps for ensuing seamless transportation of essential commodities through Meghalaya without any disruption. The step was ensured by the Chief Minister Sonowal to maintain the chain of supply of essential commodities to the three districts of Barak Valley.
