Saloons & beauty parlous closed in Assam, but barbers can come at home & offer service

May 03: Lockdown 3.0 saw many relaxations, especially in the green zones. However, barber shops, saloons and parlours shall continue to remain closed in Assam. Addressing a press meet, Assam Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the state will follow this restriction imposed upon barber shops, saloons and beauty parlours. But at the same time, the minister made it clear that home visits of barber would be allowed after following hygiene and sanitation norms. That means, barbers can now come over to the homes of the people and cut their hair or shave their beard.
