SAI to shut all its 67 centres across India after surge in Covid cases

Jan. 11: The surge in cases of COVID-19 have been affecting almost every sector in the country. Now the consequences are felt in the sporting fields too. The Sports Authority of India (SAI) on Monday announced that it has decided to close its 67 training centres across the country. “The decision also comes in the wake of directives issued by various states to suspend sporting activities for the safety of athletes,” SAI said in a statement.
