Sadarghat plant seriously damaged by flood, water supply disrupted: PHE

Mar 20: The condition of the barge at Sadhar Ghat plant is very serious, delivery pipe lines were torn away by flowing water at high speed. The river water is flowing above red mark. The work for restoration is going on. This was informed by Executive Engineer of PHE Silchar Division-I. on Friday morning.

Earlier on Thursday, PHE informed, “Regular water supply from Silchar Town scheme is disrupted due to displaced suction pipes at intake by the rising water level and currents. PHE staff and officials are continuously working to rectify the situation.Kindly bear with us. The  inconvenience is regretted.”
