RPF recovers AK-47 Rifle & magazine in Agartala bound train at Lumding

April 7: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) recovered an AK-47 rifle and a magazine from a train at the Lumding Railway Station. A suspicious bag was noticed by the patrolling team in 15625 down Deogarh Express bound for Agartala at Lumding station.

The owner of the luggage initially claimed that it contained a blanket. However, when the cops tried to open the bag, they were surprised to find an AK-47 rifle along with a magazine inside it. A complaint has been lodged at Lumding GRP, under Section 25(a) of the Arms Act.

It need mention here that a few days ago, 4 pistols along with fresh bullets were recovered at Badarpur Railway Station. Two persons were arrested and the third one fled away. However, later the 3rd person was nabbed from Tripura.
